Original house; brick and weatherboard

Work completed as follows:
Total reconstruction around existing house;
Added large concrete deck area;
Built langa langa thatch hut over deck;
Extended behind house under 1st floor;
Added 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom;
Rendered all brickwork;
Removed weatherboards and replaced with harditex blueboard and rendered over;
Added banding around windows;
Painted with murabond paint;
New cedar windows and doors;
Built inclinator down to water.

Approximate costs of job including PC items and GST $590,000
Building duration - 8 months

Special features pertaining to job
Access extremely difficult;
Access only by inclinator 300 metres down from road or boat 200 metres uphill;
No storage for materials;
Narrow street with limited access for large truck deliveries
